Luella E. Jacobus died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the age of 97. She was born October 15, 1913 in Columbia, IL the daughter of Fred J. and Clara (Beck) Meyer and has lived in St. Johns since 1964. She was a retired J.C. Penney associate and a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. Luella married Howard W. Jacobus on September 25, 1948 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death in 2008. Surviving are three sons, Allen of Eureka, MI, William of Wachula, FL and Steven (Pam) of Rudyard, MI; two grandchildren Elizabeth and William. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. Johns Lutheran Church with The Rev. Dr. Bryan R. Salminen officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns 989-224-4422. Memorials may be made to the St. Johns Lutheran Church.
