Dorothy A. Jastram, our loving wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the age of 80. She was born August 24, 1930 in Owosso, Michigan the daughter of Newell and Lydia (Schlaack) Kimmel. Dorothy was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, enjoyed art and was an accomplished artist. She worked at Clinton Memorial Hospital in St. Johns from 1963 to 1992 in the Medical Records Department, retiring as a medical records supervisor. On September 24, 1950 she married Gerald Jastram and had the joy and privilege of residing on the family centennial farm and continuing its heritage. Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Gerald; a son, Carl (Geri) Jastram of DeWitt; two grandchildren, Sarah (Brian) Bloom of St. Johns and Eric (Melissa) Jastram of Colonial Heights, VA; two great grandchildren, Lydia and Garrett Bloom and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son Gerald E. Jastram Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, April 16, 2011 at St. Peter Lutheran Church 8990 Church Rd. St. Johns with Pastor Jeffrey Heimsoth officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00PM Friday at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns 989-224-4422.
