Jerry Don Hanshaw Jr., 44, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in Tulsa. He was born on December 10, 1964 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, the son of Jerry Don Hanshaw and Jan Lea (Wheeler) Hanshaw. He grew up in Tulsa and attended Green Country Christian Academy there. Jerry was of the Assembly of God faith. He loved playing golf and cooking. Jerry was also a talented artist. He enjoyed music, especially blues and jazz. Jerry grew up in a large family and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Jan Hanshaw of Tulsa, OK; his father, Jerry Don Hanshaw of Cape Girardeau, MO; his sister, Jana Sallee of Bartlesville, OK; his brothers, Joseph Hanshaw of Tulsa, OK, Jason Hanshaw and wife, Sheryl of Wagoner, OK, Jonathan Hanshaw and wife, Melissa of Pawhuska, OK, Jared Hanshaw of Tulsa, OK; Maternal Grandmother, Louise Wheeler of Clarksville, AR and Paternal Grandmother Josephine Hanshaw of Booneville, AR; his best friend, Steve Blackwood of Glenpool, OK; Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.
