Mrs. Thelen was one of my favorite teachers in high school. St. Johns did not have any agricultural classes and I already was taking all of the biological science classes offered, so I decided to take some computer and accounting courses. Am I ever glad I did that! I was fortunate to meet Mrs. Thelen and allow her to share her passion for accounting and numbers. I took all of the courses that were offered and then we created a new one just so I could learn how to apply my accounting skill to the computerized program. I also was able to build and grow my business skills through Business Professionals of America program or BPA as we called it. Mrs. Thelen even helped coach several of us to the state level competition. It's safe to say that she left her mark on my life and I'm sad that she has passed on. I will forever remember you and wish I could be there to celebrate your life with everyone who loved you.
