I really don't have any memories of my Uncle Wayne, but a ton of memories that I cherish with the entire family. I didn't shoot guns or hunt like my brothers, but the memories I share with my cousins are a true testament to who my uncle was. I remember playing in their house and climbing the big tree that stood in front of their front porch; I even remember falling from it, and Aunt Linda helping me through that painful ordeal. I remember running with Kelly, Robert, and Amy through the little path through the old barns in the back and through the adjoining drive shared with Uncle Wayne parents. I remember the laughs we shared as Kelly tried to teach us the Roger Rabbit dance step, and all the hours we spent practicing our singing together to be the next hit girl group. Last week at work we all discussed our favorite Halloween. I told my co-workers that I never really had one, but a special place I loved to go. Halloween at Uncle Wayne and Aunt Linda's was always the highlight of the night. The house was adorned with spectacular spooks, and there was always a bag of candy with a special treat inside. This day was made even more special because it was Kelly's birthday. I always look back on those days with such fondness. My aunt and uncle always made everyone feel welcome and loved, and his children have always personified this as well. You will be missed Uncle Wayne, but the memories with your family will be cherished and etched into my memories forever!
