Eunice G. Wirth died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the age of 86. She was born September 13, 1927 in Carson City, MI the daughter of John and Helen (Halfmann) Kramer. Eunice was retired from the State of Michigan where she worked as a secretary. Eunice was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler where she played the organ and was a long time member of the church choir. Surviving are her children, Catherine Swainston, Tom Hopko, Linda Hopko (Dan Burl), Sharon Hopko, Joe Hopko, Nancy (Mike) Mason, Patty Shepherd and Mike (Donna) Wirth; seven grandchildren; sister, Alice (Erwin) Pline; brother, Alan (Teresa) Kramer; very special friends, Lolie Fabela and Bonnie Smith and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands, Joseph Hopko and Anthony Wirth, her parents, a brother, Donald Kramer and sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Lawrence Mueller. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday, September 5, 2014 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler with Rev. Fr. Dennis Howard as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns. A rosary will be prayed at 3:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society 7095 W. Grand River Ave. Lansing, MI 48906.
