Margaret A. Devereaux died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the age of 85. She was born August 24, 1928 in Lansing, MI the daughter of Walter J. and Edith V. (Johnson) Hetzer. She was a long time member of T.O.P.S. #1528 in Lansing and more recently #1868 in Charlotte and was a member of the American Sewing Guild, Lansing Clippers. Margaret was a retired clerical employee for the State of Michigan. On June 1, 1968 she married Arlo Devereaux and he preceded her in death in 2008. She was also predeceased by a brother, Jack Hetzer and step-daughter Sheila Mowery. Surviving are daughters, Kathy Schlee of Charlotte and Linda (Jerry) Myers of Lebanon, MO; step-sons, Larry (Diana) Devereaux of Detroit and Rick (Colleen) Devereaux of Eagle; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and one sister, Judy (Ron) Cushman of Harrison. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, April 28, 2014 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns with Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends 2:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday and 5:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
