Nora K. Linzey died Friday, January 14, 2011 at the age of 49. She was born January 30, 1961 in Owosso, Michigan the daughter of Maurice and Betty (Streng) Ruddy. She was a graduate of New Lothrup High School, Class of 1979 and attended Mott Community College. Nora was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She was an assistant 5th and 6th grade basketball coach at St. Joseph Catholic School and was devoted to her family and her faith. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking and sharing what she baked with family and friends. She worked as a dental hygienist and loved vacationing in and around Petoskey, Michigan. On July 30, 1982 she married Kurt Linzey and he survives her. Also surviving is one son, Cory; one daughter, Whitney; her parents, Maurice and Betty Ruddy of Chesaning, three sisters, Nancy Ruddy of Holt, Annette (Joe) Simaz of Fennville, and Cathy Wilson of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Kevin Ruddy of Kalamazoo and Steve (Brenda) Ruddy of Eagle; father-in-law, Merle Linzey and sister-in-law Shelly Linzey both of New Lothrop. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Janet Linzey. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30AM Thursday, January 20, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Linden St. Johns with Rev. Fr. Eoin Murphy as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will take place at 3:00PM at Elmwood Cemetery in New Lothrop. The family will receive relatives and friends 2:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday with a vigil service at 7:00PM at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns 989-224-4422.
