Obituary for Uleta Young

Uleta Mae Young, 75 of DeWitt died Tuesday evening at Sparrow Hospital.  She was born May 5, 1931 in Cass City, MI the daughter of Albert and Anna (Miller) Taylor.  Uleta graduated from Elkton High School.  On March 8, 1952 she married Willard Young.  He preceded her in death in July, 2003. She worked at DeWitt Schools for many years as a cook. Uleta was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Hobby Club and Card Clubs.  She enjoyed her crafts, games, travel and her family. Survived by 2 sons, Larry of Grand Ledge and Dale & Cindy of Sparta, MI, 2 daughters Debra & John Nixon of Lansing and   Sue & David Wood of  Beavercreek, Ohio. 11 grandchildren, Nicole, Michelle, Tom & Heidi, Tim & Ashley Young, Sara and Amanda Young.  Amy & Kelli Nixon, Hanna, Alexander & Nicholas Wood. Great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Young Sister Delores & Don Cox of Roscommon, Sister in law, LaVerda Young of Elkton, MI Funeral services will be held at Redeemer United Methodist Church on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Rod Kalajainen officiating.  Burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Redeemer United Methodist Church, 13980 Schavey Rd., DeWitt on Thursday May 11, 2006 6-9 P.M. and one hour prior to service time Friday. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Redeemer United Methodist Church or Clinton County Hospice.
