Melissa Jean Zimmerman died Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the age of 55. She was born July 24, 1962 in St. Johns, MI the daughter of Harold and Joanne (Palmer) Zimmerman. Melissa graduated from St. Johns High School, Class of 1981 and worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for several nursing homes in Mid-Michigan. Surviving are two daughters, Allison (Rob) Blunt and Danielle (Dustin) Dennis; grandchildren, Trenton, Rivenna, Jack and Easton; three sisters, Jenifer (Ralph) Abbott, Lisa Coffman and Nadine Zimmerman and special friends, Paul Snyder and Milo Ayen. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 12, 2018 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns with Pastor John Sherrill and Erika Sparks officiating. Interment will follow at South Bingham Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society 7095 W. Grand River Ave. Lansing, MI 48906.
