Linda Browning, 74 years old, of Grand Ledge Michigan left to be with the Lord on Friday April 14, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer.
Linda was born in Three Rivers Michigan, but lived the majority of her life in the Lansing area. Linda loved animals (dogs, cats, fish, horses) and cared for pets her entire life. the favorites of these were her beautiful Siamese cats, Mia and Kamiko. Linda also enjoyed gardening and kept plants and gardens her entire life. Never one to accept the limits of aging Linda was devoted to exercise and was in her exercise room almost every day so that she could stay strong enough to do all the things that she loved. Linda often said that you were only as old as you feel and that exercise made her feel alive. Above all else, Linda enjoyed helping others, especially her family. Her work with funeral homes around the greater Lansing area gave her the ability to help many in their time of greatest need, something she was very proud of. It was when she was helping those closest to her in their times of need that her passion was easiest to see. She was generous with smiles and praise to those that helped her family and friends, but made her feelings known when she was unhappy with a situation! No one was ever better in protecting those she cared for in difficult situations than she was. One of the last things Linda said was that she felt fortunate that she was able to help so many people during her life.
Linda spent her last days in the home that she loved cared for and surrounded by her family that she loved above all else. During these final days she said that she had no idea that she was loved by so many. Linda was preceded in death by her father Darwin, mother Pauline and her sister Susanne. Linda is survived by her devoted husband Harold; son Larry Webb (Lanh); special niece Collette Schroeder (Kenny); daughter Loree Webb; stepdaughters Susan Augustine (Jim) and Shannon Browning-Johnson (Joel); grandsons Levi and Anson; sisters Sandra Entrican (Terry) and Cathy Patterson; numerous nieces and nephews spread throughout the country.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on May 6 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home . Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 and services will be held at 2:00 PM
