Condolence: Don, Irene, Shirley and Marilyn -- and families, My most sincere condolences. Rose was such a wonderful person. So many great memories growing up and visiting. Practicing with Shirley and the other Village Maidens (haha, what a fond memory!), playing with the girls. Through the years, always saw your mom and dad walking through Ovid. They are Ovid!! Losing your Mom is not easy, but she will always be in your heart and soul and watching over you from heaven. She is truly an angel. My prayers are with you all.

Condolence: To Don and his family, I am so sorry for your loss. Rose was a very sweet lady; not every woman I know is a lady, but Rose epitomized the word. She was a neighborhood icon. For years I've marveled at her endurance. She was such a hard worker. Before my husband's passing he would see the two of them - walking at a very brisk pace, even on the coldest winter day - and he would say, "There goes a couple that will live forever" Please take comfort in your family, your friends, your memories, and your faith. Know that she is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

Condolence: When we moved in across the street, I remember all the time spent on Groom’s front porch talking with the girls for what seemed like hours. Rose was always loving and kind even though a neighbor boy was on her front porch – but, looking back –“she knew where her girls were!” After joining the Army, when our family came home we always made a point of going over to Don & Rose’s for an update on happenings of the big town of Ovid. We would fill them in on where we lived and what we doing at that time. It was always an enjoyable, relaxing and refreshing moment in our visit home. Don, Irene, Shirley and Marilyn– as you know your wife/mother was a godly woman, who loved you all! She’s now in heaven helping to take care of the fields and gardens. She is looking down on all of us. Remember, “The memory of the righteous will be a blessing.” Proverbs 10:7 Dave & Marti Patterson
