Evelyn C. Henning, of St. Johns, MI, died Monday, August 1, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born January 2, 1934 in Flint, MI the daughter of Edward and Marie (Staley) Hahn. Evelyn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns and an Air Force veteran. She volunteered for many years at Clinton Memorial Hospital and the Bement Library in St. Johns. She enjoyed doing all types of art projects, knitting and crocheting, and loved fishing, especially the fishing trips to Canada with her husband and friends. On December 26, 1953 she married Dean Henning and he survives her. Also surviving are three daughters, Diane Willis of Charlotte, NC, Lou Ann Smith of DeWitt and Kelly (Bill) Anderson of Chardon, OH; five grandchildren, Erik Willis, Ryan and Travis Smith, Matthew and Josh Anderson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Larry Krause. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 109 Linden St. Johns with Rev. Fr. Michael Williams officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M August 5, 2016 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
